Support for the Encyclopedia of Puerto Rico (EPR) has been provided by Puerto Rico's major institutions of higher education, as well as by government agencies. We soon hope to have additional support from various endowments and private organizations.

Educational Institutions

In 2003, Dr. González Lamela, Executive Director of the Puerto Rican Endowment for the Humanities, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the presidents of six universities in Puerto Rico and two in New York. All of these institutions have provided human resources and/or materials for this project. Major collaborative assistance has been provided by the professors who are responsible for most of the encyclopedia's sections. Thanks to this support, the project is now becoming a reality.
